GENERAL CONDITIONS
1 Properties which fall under the General Exemption of section 152 of BBMP Act 2020 are only allowed.
2 The Citizen/property holder to pay the property tax as SELF ASSESSMENT as per their claim of exemption.
3 The BBMP retains and reserves COMPLETE RIGHT TO VERIFY AND REVISE the return at any time if return filed is found incorrect or Assessee is found ineligible.
4 Filing of returns under the exemption application are subject to the Approval of Chief Commissioner.
5 If the returns filed is rejected or revised, the difference tax along with the Interest and penalty shall be levied according to the rules.
PRE-REQUISITES FOR AVAILING EXEMPTION
Documents/Information required from the property owner for filing returns to claim exemption for the property:
1 Request Letter 2 Title Deed
3 Organization Registration Certificate 4 Exemption certificate from the Income Tax Department
5 3 years Audit report and Statistics 6 Notification document from the Government (If Government property)
7 Certificate issued for the educational purpose by the
Govt./Competent Authority.

9 Image of the property

The BBMP reserves complete right to verify and revise my return as per the BBMP Act 2020 at any time.
Filing of returns under the exemption application are subject to the approval of Chief Commissioner.
If the returns filed is rejected or revised, the revision of property tax based on the category and the difference tax along with the interest and penalty shall be levied according to the rules.
